1. Where is Chuuk
Chuuk is located north of the equator in western Pacific Ocean. It is East of Palau and part of the Federated States of Micronesia

2. How do I get to Chuuk?
Cruise Island Adventure can give special fares for guests going to Chuuk(Manila/Chuuk/Manila). Most visitors to Chuuk arrive on Continental Airlines by the way of Guam, the international air service hub for the Micronesia region. Two weekly flights from Manila and charter flights also currently connect Chuuk with other metropolitan Asian cities.
*** For guests entering via Guam a US Visa is required.


3. Which is the recommended flight day/time.
Continental airlines or any airline that arrives on a Sunday and departs Sunday or early Monday


*** For nationalities who need visas to enter the Philippines, you need to have a Multiple Philippine Visa.

4. What is included in the Chuuk Sunday to Sunday Package?
Accommodations on board, tanks, weights, weight belt, boat, services of a divemaster roundtrip transfers from Weno airport to PE2 boat, meals, and complimentary tea, coffee, juice.

5. How many days are the Chuuk Sunday to Sunday Package and how many dives they could do in one day?
The Chuuk Sunday to Sunday Package is eight days/ seven nights. First Dive is on Monday morning and ends on Saturday afternoon. Guests can do maximum of 4 Dives a Day with 1 Night Dive.

6. When is check in and check-out time on the vessel?
For Guests Arriving via Guam:
Embarkation(check-in) is upon arrival (9:30 pm)
Disembarkation (check-out) is by 10:00 am on Sunday.

7. What are the taxes or fees not included in the package?
Airport taxes, Dive Permit at US $ 30/person, Gear Rentals, Courses, Alcoholic Beverages and Souvenir Items on board.

8. Do I need a Visa and Passport?
Proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate) by US citizens’ id required. Non-US citizens must have a valid passport and a US Transit Visa for transit through GUAM. All visitors must have return travel arrangements or approval by the Chief of Immigration for an extended stay.

9. How will I go onboard the Pacific Explorer 2?
Upon arrival in WENO, our Expedition Fleet Staff will welcome you in their uniform with a banner.

10.What is the weather in Chuuk? And when is the best time to go to Chuuk?
Chuuk enjoys a pleasantly warm climate all year round. Chuuk enjoys an annual mean temperature of 82 degrees F (27 C). Rain showers starts on the month of June, but the rainy season starts September to November. Although rain falls during these months, most of the dive sites are sheltered by the island and there is still much sunshine. December to February are the months with the least amount of rainfall.

11. Are there tender boats used?
We have two ten meter chase boats to ensure uncrowded diving.

12. Is there night dive?
Yes there is, starting on the second day of diving. Please take a look of our sample itinerary.

13. Should I be an advanced diver?
Diving in Chuuk is open to all Open Water Divers. An Advanced Open Water Diver Certification is a plus

14. What wetsuit should I use in diving?
You could use a 3mm wetsuit all year round but during the months of December, January and February, you’ll feel more comfortable with an additional vest or overlapping wetsuit.


15. How can we contact Pacific Explorer 2?
